Easy to check body temp by just placint against the forehead and pressing the button. Flashes up with the temp immediately and with a green background if in the safe range but has an audible alarm and the screen turns red as a warning if the temp is at fever level (above 38). What I really like about this though when using for body temp, is the memory function. It stores the last 20 reading so that you can track the progres of the measurements to see the direction that they are going. A very useful reference point.
